When searching, currently, 2 situations are supported: • Search only the selected file. • Search the entire project.

For a project with hundreds of files, selecting multiple files will speed up the process. For example: checkboxes when we open the Project menu tab (on the Crowdin Editor).

 Ability to subscribe to a string/comment thread to get notified when an issue is resolved and/or someone else comments, regardless of whether you were @mentioned directly.

Useful, when for instance a colleague asks a question that will also impact your own translation but doesn't require additional information from yourself, would reduce clutter in the comment thread. 

Add quick reaction feature to Comments, at the minimum a green tick, so other users can see when a comment has ben acted upon.

Implement highlighting of all found words in the string, similar to how it is done in text editors, for example, Microsoft Word

Currently, if a string was tagged from a screenshot it is displayed in the context below the text.

It would be handy to have the ability to pickup (or upload) a screenshot and tag it from there.

Having a large project, you typically do the tagging opportunistically when a translator requests more information about the context.

Add a button top left to select all strings in the mobile view on a smartphone, like in the chrome desktop version. This would allow for selecting and approving all strings at once, instead of approving each string individually

Translators sometimes need to discuss some problem which is bound to their language only, but right now, everyone would see their conversation.

Would be great if I could filter comments by language, or maybe an ability to start a thread when discussing one specific topic in comments.

Add a quick toggle/shortcut to toggle show/hide non-printable characters without going through Settings.

When translating a large project in which the target must match the same whitespace as the source for each segment (soft spaces, hard spaces, tabs, inline linefeeds), there is a frequent need to make whitespace visible to compare both sides, then switch back to normal viewing for readability.

Currently, this can only be done by the sequence "click settings (gear)> Appearance > Non-printable characters displaying > click show > click save", then after comparing both sides, going through a similar sequence to click "hide". Adding shortcut will save time for translation/review.

It be a good idea to add ordinal numbers to TM and MT suggestions to the editor. Now it is quite difficult to use shortcuts Ctrl + 1-9, if there are more than 3 suggestions. It is difficult to count if I want to put the 7th or 9th suggestion to select the needed key and press it

Have a text size slider on the Editor, so translators can change the size of the text of the Editor. The primary areas is the source-target string area, but it would be helpful for the whole page to be bigger

Could you please make the highlighted color of the active string (left panel of the editor, string that I'm currently working on) stand out more from the background color? Currently, it's just a slightly lighter shade, and I find it hard to keep track of.

We struggle to find (and replace) cases that contain a line break — for example, "Hello\n Word"

Transfer the ownership of a project to another user.

 Add the possibility to lock strings to protect them from being edited, but not hide them from translators to provide context

Right now, even if project managers set translation rates in Crowdin, translators can’t view their cost reports unless they also manually enter the same rates on their side.

We propose an option that allows project managers to assign a specific rate template to an individual translator, which only that translator can view and used to calculate their earnings. This template would be: - Private and visible only to the assigned translator - Locked from editing by the translator - Automatically used in their cost reports

What this matters : - Ensures transparency and accuracy in earnings without requiring manual rate entry- - - Prevents confusion or errors caused by mismatched rate settings - Maintains confidentiality of rates between different translators

Possibility to copy source text (e.g. English) to English target language in a bulk

If there are many languages in the project, and while some language teams have requested the TM Pre-Translate feature to be enabled in a Project, others prefer it to remain off due to context sensitivity, language complexity, and other language-specific considerations.

To address this effectively, it would be great to have the ability to enable or disable the TM Pre-Translate feature per language within the project. This would provide the necessary flexibility and solve the issue in a sustainable way

When handling 150+ prompts, it would be great to be able to group prompts together, maybe by language pair or language groups, or having some folders where prompts can be organized into.

A separate step in the workflow where a linguist will edit translations made by MT/AI

Allow proofreaders and managers to vote for suggestions as well (not only approve)

Sometimes managers also provide suggestions for translations but don't proofread that language. Having the ability to vote would be a nice addition, as now managers are forced to express what string would be best by approving it, or doing nothing...

I believe adding a section for proofreader role applications would be beneficial. It would enable project managers to recruit proofreaders more efficiently, speeding up the translation process. Project managers could also set specific criteria, such as requiring applicants to have at least 1,000 correct translations and be active in the project.

It would be a nice addition if the pull-request that is created by the Github integration can have the "automerge" flag (not a label, but the real flag handled by Github). It would streamline changes to the translation without manual operation.

Currently, {{projectName}}, {{projectId}}, and {{branchId}} are available, however {{branchName}} is not.

When syncing Crowdin branches with GitHub branches, it would be useful to be able to send `{ "ref": "{{branchName}}" }` payloads to the GitHub workflow dispatch endpoint whenever the translations change.

Currently there is no way to get the number of strings assigned to a task only the word count. As a business we use strings counts rather than word counts when dealing with our external translators, so when we raise a task we need access to the string count.

Enable synchronization so that when a new string/file is uploaded to Crowdin, a new translation task is automatically created in Jira.

Modelfront creates a "private custom massively multilingual large language model" from our data so it works as any "AI" provider technically

Files can be split, which is great, but since splitting is only possible when creating a task, it limits the manager regarding deadlines for that split work. If you work on a large file and you need to split it between people, all people don't have to have the same time availability, some people need more time, and some people don't. For localization companies, it's an essential feature to have to make time management for projects with such tasks.

There are some cases when same QA check rules for English are applied to all languages. For example, in English, three dots (...) is followed directly after a word but in German, there should be a space before three dots ( ...). At the moment, every time there is a space before the ellipses or three dots, causes an error prompt.

The same is for "fullwidth" brackets in East-Asian languages

It would be great to adopt QA to handle such cases in different target languages

Prefer don't receive an email if an issue has been resolved, but I really need notifications regarding new issues created. Unfortunately, I cannot disable one while keeping the other, as they are part of the same setting

It would be great to show the total amount of translated (and proofread possibly) words in the form of a counter on the Profile page. A way to see how much you have contributed to all the projects at once in the service.

There is a need for the cancel (resign) button for translation job received from WPML (for a single document) as sometimes some pages do not get translations and those files are stuck on WPML as “waiting for Crowdin translation”. WPML requires to get “cancel” order from Crowdin

It would be good to be able to review terms added by translators for a second time so that it can be clearer which terms are approved and ready to be used and which terms are not approved

Is it important to be able to let translators assign themselves to the file they want to translate, so that other translators can see that the file is taken, and so that multiple translators do not work on the same file.

Currently, only managers can create tasks and assign translators to these tasks, but the more translators there are, the greater the burden on managers. The only way to reduce managers' workload is to assign multiple files to a translator whenever possible, but it is much easier and more enjoyable when a translator can assign themselves to a file and switch to another file when they are done.

Add the ability to change which duplicate string is the "key" string available for translation which then auto-fills all of the other duplicates. 

Organise uploaded screenshots into folders, so that managing large numbers becomes easier.

Avoid using country/region flags to represent languages unless the setting is region-specific.

Ability to archive a project so it would be deactivated and will not be counted under the project limits of the main account.

Right now every translation file is committed and pushed separately.

Whenever the Slack integration gets disconnected from Crowdin, it would be helpful if all accounts that have the integration set up could receive an automatic email or some form of notification (via Crowdin or Slack itself) to alert users about the disconnection.

This would help ensure that users are aware of the issue immediately and can take prompt action to reconnect the integration without relying on noticing a lack of notifications
